Heather Jackson

Heather is an independent People & Culture Specialist, focused on strategy development, leadership coaching, and training and implementing Human Resource (HR) processes and programs. After 20 years of positively influencing change in corporate, start up and public sector roles, she was inspired to bring this expertise to small, midsize and not-for-profit organizations. Driven by the philosophy that organizations who develop people and culture-centric practices that are born out of genuine care for people will experience greater productivity, stronger staff engagement and retention.

Heather’s success is rooted in her ability to establish collaborative and trusting relationships, she was a key contributor to the successful cultural integration and internal rebranding of the three companies that created Parmalat Canada. Through collaboration, coaching, and honouring the uniqueness of each company, Parmalat realized positive change in productivity, engagement, attraction and retention.

Hired for her transformational leadership, Heather was instrumental in transitioning the relationships at Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) from union advisor to an integrated HR business partner; at Concentrix, from an isolated HR department to a trusted business strategist; and enabled early adoption of policies, programs and culture development with two startups. These collaborative efforts were fundamental in resolving critical challenges with retirement attrition, succession planning, attraction, engagement, upskilling, and empowerment of developing leaders.

Heather is a lifelong learner with a BA from York University in Human Rights and Equities, CHRP/CHRL Certification from the Human Resource Professional Association (HRPA), and diploma in Social Service Work and Law & Security Administration. Heather finds balance in life with daily gratitude, yoga and meditation; coupled with family, friends and community connections.
